Siobhan’s Pan-Fried Tofu Recipe



Ingredients

  • 1 lb firm tofu
  • 2 oz soy sauce
  • 2 oz teriyaki
  • 4 cloves of garlic
  • 2 tbsp ginger
  • 2 tbsp chia seeds
  • 2 tbsp of corn starch
  • 2 whole star anise
  • red pepper flakes
  • black pepper
  • sriracha
  • 2 tbsp nutritional yeast
  • rice
  • broccoli, grilled

Directions

1) dice a pound of hard tofu and char it in a pan with 2 tbsp of oil on medium high heat.

2) mix 2 oz soy sauce, 2 oz teriyaki, 4 cloves of garlic, 2 tbsp ginger, 2 tbsp chia seeds, 2 tbsp of corn starch, and a half cup water

3) add to pan with 2 whole star anise, and as much red pepper flake, black pepper, and Sriracha that you want and cook till the sauce thickens and reduces.

4) mix in two tbsp of nutritional yeast and take out the star anise.

5) serve over rice and grilled broccoli and cauliflower
